AI BEAUTY COPYWRITING

Oooooh, AI.

Yes, it’s all that anyone is talking about these days, and yes, it can be daunting.

Some people love it. Some people hate it.

Some embrace it. Others won’t touch it.

Many copywriters and creatives scowl at it.

We prefer to get ahead of the times, to embrace what’s coming. That being said… here are the facts:

ChatGPT writes pretty terrible copy.

AI is fast. It’s cheap. It can churn out captions, product descriptions, emails, landing pages, and just about anything else you ask it to.

It can get the job done, but using it from scratch doesn’t mean it gets the job done well. Brand tone of voice? Little nuances? The things only an expert knows? That’s where it falls short.

Yes, we know we've referenced Chat, and you're probably going to harp on about how Claude "does a way better job at copy" but the reality is, consumers are getting better and better at noticing.

The more AI copy floods our feeds, inboxes, and websites, the easier it becomes to spot. The same sentence structures. The same words. The same overly polished phrasing. The same slightly-too-neat way of saying absolutely nothing at all.

And people are starting to tune it out.

We’re not anti-AI. Far from it. We familarize ourselves with it, study it, and pay very close attention to what it does well, and what gives it away.

Through careful study of language patterns, text, and data, we know what makes copy sound AI-generated and, more importantly, how to avoid it.
